farmall 460 spark plugs

I currently have a farmall 460 that we restored and are just starting it now. We need to put new spark plugs in it and none of our wrenches work. they are 7/8 size plugs. We have the right socket that fights on their from ih, but we cant turn it cuz there isn't enough room. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get them out.

Yep,

Those old Internationals kinda require the use of a very thin-wall "plug socket". They were made/sold years ago and have a hole in the side to slip a handle thru.

Know what I'm talkin' about?

What i have found tht works the best is a craftsman 3/8 drive deep well and is the only socket that that does not bind up when removing or installing plugs on the 6 cyllinder I H

I know this sounds condescending, but cheaper the socket the better.
I use a Walmart 7/8" deep well socket (Stanley maybe?) and it fits well.
The International socket set I have will not work.

If you have some one with a lathe run the socket in one and turn it down thats what I would do.

Absolutely. I use a craftsman 3/8" drive deep socket all the time on my H, M and SA. Works great. mike
