Poor "Binders" didn't have a chance!
They were beat to hell by a DEERE trackhoe.

(Truck, combine header and chisel plow.)

I tried to buy the truck several years ago, and it was REAL valuable!

Now, he called in the scapper for $20.00 a ton!

I gotta get my butt in gear, though. I was GIVEN a 915 combine, just for getting it out of a guy's way. It's missing a rear tire and rim. I have to round one up, and get the rear axle jacked up out of the dirt, and I hope to start it and drive it home.

Makes you sick, doesn't it

I passed an old flat bed truck hauling a bunch of old IH engines headed to the scrap yard a few days ago. They all looked to be in fairly decent shape from what I could tell. And then on the back was what looked like a 706 complete with most of the sheet metal stacked up on the bed with a strap over it. The sheet metal looked to have been mashed flat to stack better with some old tin.

A lot more than $20 more like $200 ton I see several loads of scrap come by my house almost every day the high price of scrap is cleaning out the fencr rows around here. There is a big recyle yard few miles from me and every time I have been by for last year or so there will 10/20 or more loads backed up at scales.
