806 looses hydraulics periodically

For the past few years my Farmall 806 has been loosing hydraulics. The steering and brakes are the only things that I notice are not working. It seems that it is when I am on an incline but not always and the tractor is usually in low idle. There is a bleeder valve below the clutch pedal and all I do to get presure back is to turn off the tractor open the valve and start the tractor back. Once started I shut the valve when hyd oil comes out. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I assume the hydraulic oil is at the full level.

If not fill it and replace the filter.

Yes all the levels are where they need to be and the filters and oil are new and changed every two years.

You have a leak on the suction side of the front hydraulic system between the filter and the MCV pump. It is almost always at the o-ring between the rear frame and the speed transmission housing. Add an additional five gallons of oil and run it.
