Update on my 560 project

I posted earlier last week about a 560D that I bought.

I got some time to tear into it today. The first thing was to open up the generator to see why it didn't charge. Turns out they work better if there are TWO brushes in them. I didn't have the right replacement, but I found a bigger one that I cut down to fit. Now it charges well.
This afternoon I went back to the place I got it from, and tore the draw bar and associated parts of a junked M. I brought that home and pulled the fast hitch yoke off, left the cylinder and rockshaft alone. The loop drawbar needed a tiny bit of trimming to clear the fast hitch draft adjustment on the left side, then it bolted on just like it was made for it. I still need to install the bracket under the transmission and hook up the swinging drawbar, but it was getting dark and i was sick of feeding the bugs.

I will feel a lot better hauling the baler and moco with this setup.

I hope to get started haying next week, if it doesn't keep raining until Christmas.
