Can the Hydrolic system on a 1949 Farmall be upgraded? I do not have enough lifting power to raise my Haybine off the ground.

Three ways, yes
The first is to use a larger diameter cylinder on the implement. (easiest and might be least expensive)
Put a Liftall pump in it from a stage 1 SM, or late 53M
put a late model front cover, late model cam drive gear (stronger),and an engine driven Pump in place of the distributor drive housing. This will also need control valves and plumbing to operate the (now) live hydraulics.
Look in the archives for many posts on live M hydraulics. JimN
