Hydrolic problem

I have a 574 Int. gas with a front end loader. My problem is with the down pressure of the loader and the remote hydrolics. When I use my hay roller I have to switch the hoses to the loader to open and close the door otherwise it won't latch or unlatch. The only down pressure working is the bucket tilt. I should be able to lift the tractor front off the ground with the loader.

Some loaders aren't equipped with dual acting lift cylinders (Lift only/Gravity lower).
If you have dual acting cylinders, then the priority valve may be set to single acting. You can also tell because you will have only 3 quick connects. 2 for the bucket and 1 for the lift arms.
I'm not even going to guess how to adjust that on the 574; as I'm not even sure if they painted those tractors red!
And to save your pocketbook, I would advise against regularly using the loader to life the front tires off the ground.
If you knew all this already, I'll just shut up now!
