Late 1953 Super H

Does this tractor have the 7 mph 4th gear and low low 1st gear?It had a J after the serial#.It has live hydraulics making it a stage 2.

I have an early 54 229xx serial # followed by a J. It does not have any special gears. All gears except 5th are faster than an H however.

"J" just means it has the Rockford clutch, which nearly all super H's had. My late '53 stage II (Ser#20856 J) does not have those special gears. mike

No 7 mph 4th, but the standard 4th is 6 5/8 mph with standard tires, which should be close enough. All SH's have that gear, there is no option.

Guys, Went to a Farm Sale today and watched a 53 SH that needed tires,steering wheel and some TLC bring 2175.

Stage 1 or 2. 2175 is high for a 1, maybe even a little cheap for a 2.
