I recently painted the wheels on a 100 manure spreader what I could determine was "ochre" from the WI Historical society. I have been informed that they were cream as all IH wheels were. I seem to remember my dads new machinery in the late 40's, mowers, rakes, manure spreaders, cultivators, threshing machine as having wheels that were more yellow than cream. Can anyone elaborate...Darald

I don't recall them ever being anything I'd call yellow, but that may just be the difference in our eyes . . . It definitely was a tinted white, not plain old titanium-type white. I seem to recall someone once suggesting a white that was called "almond" being about right. You might try tracking some of that down and see what you think of it.

I have two I.H. 100 spreaders and hope to restore 1 next year. It appears the the hubs were blue and the wheels cream on mine. Does this sound correct and was that the only blue on the spreader or were the slat bars on the apron chain also blue ? Thanks Migraine
