Anybody have a 424 they are parting out? I have a 1967 (I think), that I need some sheet metal and a grill for. Also has underslung muffler. Is that much of a fire hazard when brushhoging? Thanks to all - - - - Bob Farrell

The underslung isnt much of a hazard but why not just send it through the top. You can get a pipe that screws into the manifold and clamp on a muffler. You just have to cut a hole in the top.

INTHarv - Thanks for the reply. I kinda like the exhaust underneath so I don't breath so much fumes. I don't even have a muffler on it and the noise is not too bad. Just concerns me in dry grass when mowing. Thanks! bob farrell
