686 Loader Control Valve

I have a 686 with a 2250 loader, that runs off the tractor's rear remotes. I would like to add a control valve to run the loader so I have at least one free remote for other implements. Freeing up both sets of rear remotes would be ideal. How can I plumb in the loader control valve to free up the tractors rear remotes? Thanks!

If you want to free up at least one remote, you could use one of them to feed an open center 2 axis joystick. You could then leave the remote locked in position and feed the joystick to run both functions of the loader. If you are going to to do it this way you need the open center joystick. If you want both remotes free, plumb it into a supply line before the remotes and use a closed center joystick, run the return line from your joystick to a port on the rear end somewhere and then you would have both remote free.

There are a few different ways that you can do that.

Install a power-byond plate and a separate set of control valves, a separate set of valves with a separate tank and PTO pump, or an electrical splitter.

I opted for the splitter on two different tractors, as it is down, fast and dirty. :>)

If you hook an open center joystick valve to one of your remotes and leave it locked on your other remote will be useless because all the flow will be going through the locked on one. I know this from experience. You can put a three spool auxillary valve hooked to one remote and have three that way, that's what I did with a joystick on two. Lee

ih560, have you tried your closed center idea? I don't think it'll work because the centers on the stock valves are still open. The hydraulic fluid will take the path of least resistance, which is the stock valves.
