What would a 600 diesel with serial number #546 J be worth restored? I believe a low serial number like that to be pretty significant.

Personally Id say it be worth restoring or at least saving, just cause its a 600 and there were not many of em made in the first place.

The value of a tractor like that really hinges on whether or not the fuel tanks are full... :roll:

I have seen 600's advertised for anywhere from $2500 to $10,000 in running to restored condition. Did they sell for that much? Who knows.

I bought a complete 600 with stuck engine for $300 a few years ago.

its a basket case right now, but its all there and in pretty fair condition. tank is full. I am aware of the fact that they only made about 1500 or so of the 600"s and the fact that this one is the 45th made is probably a big plus.

What its worth is a toughtquestion. The low number is somewhat meaningless unless it is 501 or the other 45 that came before it are gone. Even if you could get 10 k for it restored just start to add up tires paint engine work clutch all the cosmetics to make it perfect cause it wont bring the 10 if its not and you'll get to the 10000 mark before your done.So its got to be a labor of love.

There was one at the RPRU in Penn. last year for sale. I think they were asking $6500 for it. Not restored, but in execellent shape, good sheet metal and ran really well. I think it was a no sale and they took it back home. Not the most popular show tractor, as it's really heavy to haul.

I saw a 600 sell in the $2000.00+ range at an auction a few years back....and it was stuck, tires/rims shot, and missing a few parts. They're a pretty rare tractor only being built one year...but like always, they're only worth what you can find someone to pay for 'em.
