Flat Belt Pulley

I have a flat belt pulley that came with a 53 Super M I use to have. Unlike the one that I have for my 46 H, this one is all cast metal. The part number cast into it is 356941 R1 . It also has an IH cast into it so I"m sure it"s an original IH pulley. Is this an "older" or a "newer" version of pulley as compared to the paper wrapped models? Thanks for any info?

IH sold them for tractors in the time period of SH, SM tractors. Think the supplier of paper pulleys to IH went out of buisness was the reason for switch. IH went back to selling paper ones in the mid fifties.

I can't match it up to any numbers in the parts books that I have, but the belt pulleys on the As, Bs, and Cs were cast, as opposed to the paper-surfaced pulleys of the Hs and Ms. Could be a vairant of one of those , I suppose, or could even have been an idler on a driven piece of equipment.

Around the begining of 1955 the iron pulleys were cancelled for H, 4, M, 6, series, super series, 300 and 400 series. 356941 R1 was replaced by 358597 R91, which was fiber. Most of the pulleys that the numbers started with 358 used 8 mounting bolts.
