That's remarkable, Mike. Thanks for sharing it.

A few comments:

- It looks like the self-cleaning (clog-free) tread design was a huge factor.

- I wonder what happened to the bloopers where they actually managed to get it stuck.

- It looks like I'm underdressing when I drive my 300 Utility. I wonder if the guy had spats on, too. ;-)

There was a thread on YT's Tractor Talk about a month ago that brought that video to light. I did a little research and found there were at least three different mfgs that made the screw drive at about the same time in the '20s. Later during WW2, the Army even tested a light arctic tank. Currently, more modern units are being used by the oil companies for winter and summer travel across tundra. They are very eco friendly even without a snow cover.
