They say it's an IH. I don't know. I have the same disk and need a pillow block for it. I can't find any ID marks on mine, anywhere.
I did find a pn P8-3089 on the pillow blocks, but that number turns nothing up for me.

So...

Just curious if this really is an IH disk. I figured I would have a serial number plate somewhere.

Thanks George!

Not only do I know What make and model it is, I now know the exact year it is, too. based on the pillow block part number, it can only be a 1961 IH 37.

After that, they converted to ball bearings.

It seems like a really good heavy disk. I need to put new disks on it, and was thinking of just buying longer gang bolts and making it a 10 footer.

jmor
yours is in nice shape!

I am going to get the notched blades for mine. I think they will do a lot better in corn residue.

what is that you have chained on for weight?
Well, I really can't say for sure. My dad had a junkyard & I remember an old binder and other stuff, but just can't remember what it came off of anymore. It is probably a flywheel vs a belt pulley though (or a combination), because as I think I remember, it weighs a little over 400 pounds.

Mine has overall width of 13 1/2 feet. Passes thru 16 ft gates, not 12 .

It looks a lot like the drive off a New Holland 76 or 77 baler. The pinions in the center drove the bull gears that ran the plunger, just a guess.

Well, as I said, just don't remember, but it looks like we have a consensus, in the 4 same guesses! he he

Yeah, happens to me sometimes, too.
