OT leaf springs

I have a Ford F-350 7.3 diesel with single tires and leaf springs all around. I was wondering how much more payload an add-a-leaf would add to the 1 ton orignal weight limit, or any other ways to beef up my suspension. Any info or advice would be great. Thanks guys

All the helper springs I see for sale have a weight rating... 1000lbs, 2000lbs, 3000lbs, for example.

Right now the limiting factor on your truck is the tires if they're stock. The rear axle weight rating on the door sticker is based on your tires.

Beefing up the springs will take out some of the sag, but you won't be able to increase payload without putting better tires and rims on it.

The tires are good, but are they rated for the weight you are trying to carry? You don't want to mess around overloading tires.

I've got a set of air helper springs on my crewcab F350. Put 60 lbs of air in em, and you can't even tell there is a trailer back there. Makes more of a difference with a heavy bumper pull trailer than my gooseneck. I think you'll be near $400 into a set, bet they are the cats meow.
