Have a 2424 been sitting for 5 months ive been away got back tryed to fire it up seems to be stuck started doesn"t turn it over tried pulling in gear just drags tires doesn"t turn motor, oil is good no water in it tractor was covered and help would be great

the starter could be stuck.Had an H that done that one time.It may be wishful thinking but it could be possible.

Is this a gasoline engine? If so, I would check to see if it has hydraulic lock. Pull the plugs and try spinning the engine. If it is a diesel then you will probably have to pull the injectors. A covered engine just doesn't freeze up with rust in as little as 5 months. Pouring oil, diesel fuel, or any other liquid down the exhaust pipe will cause the engine to lock up. Rain water or snow will do the same. larry

Do Not pull it again!

You will bend the connecting rods or worse.

If it is gas pull the spark plugs and pour in some ATF in each cylinder. Replace plugs and leave it for a week. Then try bumping the starter several times. Repeat.
