IH 434 colors

Where can I get information if there were color options for a IH 434. Were they sold as Industrial and farm tractor. Its ID# is A470002B000892. Trying to find out anything about the 434's. Thanks, Bob.

Bob: I have a 1968 buyers guide, contains 3 photos of 434 tractors. Wheels and rims both front and rear are white. Grill bars are white with black radiator behind and inside of frame around rad is red. Front frame around grill is red. Side panel going up behind grill frame is white, with white going back along the side below the word INTERNATIONAL to about 10" to 12" from dash. It looks like moulded line on that hood where white meets red.

Very similar to 06 and early 656, except the grill looks like late 656 and other 56 series. Another thing you might try is go to Farmall IH photo gallery here at YT, type in model 434.

I did look at the photo's at YT's photo's, but they were all farm tractors. A man has one that is painted yellow as the base coat and red and white over that. My guess is that IH painted this tractor for sale to a city or government job in Canada. Some time there after was painted red and white. I was wondering if this same tractor was produced as an industrial model for highway mowing and the like. Thanks for your input.

I can't specifically answer your question, I can only say "probably", as most IH tractors had "industrial" versions. But, in some cases it could have been just a different color paint. Others had more extensive differences.

The thread immediately below this one reminded me of something else. The tractor referred to is a 2444, the industrial version of the 444, which is similar to the 434. The 3 digit model number was preceded with a 2 on the industrial versions. I do not know if there was a 2434, that is one I have not heard of.

Hi Bob, follow links below for photos of 434 at salvage yard:

The last one with the 1501 loader is the same as we had on are family farm in late 60s early 70s.

434 was a British tractor, don't think they were sold new in the US, a lot came to Canada and sold new, it's little brother, the 276 looked the same, just less power.

The British grill had the headlights about halfway up, Cdn one with the lights at the top.

Give Chas. Richards & sons a call in ontario. they have been an ih dealer since 1929 and sepcialize in british made ih tractors. ask for Don 1-905-640-3830. im sure he can give you more than enough information for what you are looking for.

Did a little more searching from your suggestion and there is a 2434, can't find a picture to see if there is a difference or not, did get a # of Import Tractor Parts, Canada. Will give them a try along with the other posted #. Thanks, Bob.
