How many lbs. oil pressure F-20 ?

Just currious as to how much pressure an average F-20 should carry. My original gauge finally stuck and is so rusty inside on the face that it couldn"t be read anymore.I put one on from an A and it barely gets the needle out of the red zone. The original gauge used to run about 3/4 of the way up.Maybe the A gauge is faulty too, or would they be calibrated higher for the letter series tractors?I plan on checking it with an automotive gauge I have and am wondering what I"ll see for for lbs. of pressure.

The tractor has a transfer pump for putting oil into the dipper gallery it carries no pressure to bearings at all. The pressures are in the area of 5psi, so a gauge that reads to 10 psi will be OK, but hard to find. Fordson House, Steel Wheel Ranch, OEM and others may have them. JimN

To just measure it, you should get a reading on a 15 or maybe even a 30psi numbered gage for less than $10. Rice Equipment and Fordson House both list a 3 bolt IHC logo gage for around $60.

If you use a modern gauge the needle may not move hardly at all. I got the right gauge for my 10-20 (same bacic oil pressure) from Rice equipment.

So,I suspected that maybe the A gauge was calibrated for a higher pressure system.Yes I knew about the dipper system for the rods. Have had the oilpans off a few different 20s and Regulars.I guess the search begins for the correct gauge.Have bought from Fred Rice before, maybe I'll get a new one. Thanks for the input!!
