What are the differences between the Service Manual & the Serviceman's Guide for a Farmall H?

How many pages is each manual?

Which in your opinion is the better manual or contains the most information?

if you really want the best technical book get a copy of the blue ribbon repair manual from binder books. if you are a professional mechanic just get the it manual.

To answer your question, the Serviceman's guide simply condenses all the maintenance info from the operators manual and a few other tidbits. Not a true repair manual, closer to interesting reading.

The service manual will cover repairs to the entire tractor, stem to stern.

Generally the service manual is for repairs only, it usually does not contain maintenance information. I don't have any serviceman's guides because I don't think they say much about repairs. And, I have found the I&T manual better than the Service Manuals, and also easier to understand than the Blue Ribbon manuals, and I am definitely not an experienced mechanic. But, I use both.
