Its charging finaly

Well thanks to all that helped. after many go arounds of me getting up set and few of you getting upset the actual problem was the VR needed adjustment. the spring needed more tension. I moved it very little and started the tractor and it had 15 amps. I adjusted it back to 8 amps on full trotal and 0-2 amps at idle.
I am going back to make sure I have it adjusted correct with the lights running I have to re-read my posts from you guys.
thanks

Contrat's on your success. You can now consider yourself an "electrical wizard"!

Tip: When you you check the charge rate with the lights on bright make sure the maximum charge does not exceed 4 - 5 amps (assumes (3) lights burning). Otherwise you risk overheating/damaging the generator.

thanks I will do that this weekend. I also found out that 2 other previously thought junk VRs now work thanks to some extra spring tension.
I have all three lights and I will get it set right.
