IH 3414 loader tractor need dist. cap!!

Anyone know where I can find a distributor cap for this old backhoe?

I don't know the age, but I'm guessing in the 60's

What distributor mfr? Probably a delco. Take it to NAPA or other parts shop. go to caseih.com and do a search for parts on the 3414. Most ih gas engines were similar.

I may have a cap & rotor for you. Apparentley there were two different styles. Does your rotor have the goofy bent contact with a brush set & spring for the cap or is it a normal looking rotor and cap?

I"ve posted pics of the cap on the parts and pieces, thanks for your help.

The backhoe still runs but would like to find a cap before it quits on me.

That cap & rotor should be avail from your local IH distributor. I got mine from either Binkley & Hurst or Hoobers - both out of Lancaster Pa. The cap I have on the shelf is for a different Dist. Hope this helps.
