IH 110 sickle bar mower

I have been thinking of getting a pull type sickle bar mower for my Farmall Super C to cut weeds along the road. My neighbor recommends an International model 110. Anybody have any experience with one and what would be a fair price?
 
The 110 is, I believe, a MID-MOUNT mower and not a trailer. Pull type of that era would be the 100. There is also an 1100 which is a trailer type but newer. Both are good mowers. Steven from AZ has the 100 and memory tells me he liked it. If he comes along I am sure he will post. Both mowers are balanced head mowers and reliable if treated right. We have a 115 balanced head mower and are just getting started with it but it looks to be a very nice improvement over the JD#5 mowers we have used in the past. For what you want to do, the #5 mower would likely be a cheaper model. They are very common and trouble free in the short run. The advantage to the balanced head mower is that it cuts below horizontal, though, and will do a nicer job on your ditches.
 
Just beware that parts on those old mowers are tough to come by. The wobble box on my cousin's 110 mower broke, and it took my uncle quite a while to find a replacement.

Remanufactured wobble boxes (balanced-head drives) are READILY available. If you are having trouble finding parts, contact me and I will put you in touch with implement dealers that actually know what they are doing.
