Farmall Cub ID

I have looked at the SN on the Lift side < and can not find a model or year with what I have. The ID plate information on the Right side that I can read has on the very bottom "800", just above that is "105807". On the transmission case is "351686-RI". Is this enough to determine what I have? I need a complete engine to get it back running. Thanks in advance. Gene

Gene,
Looks like you have a 1950 farmall cub according to the serial number of 105xxx. The 800 you are seeing is actually 1800 which is the RPM. Real close to a demo cub. Can remember the exact cutoff but I believe it was 105xxx. See any white paint anywhere????

Gene, Go to "www.farmallcub.com" they list the serial number information. Most of the cast parts will also have a date code. The year is a single letter of the alphabet, i.e.' dd/mm/letter. Send an email and I'll sent a pdf of the year/letter list.
Hope this helps. Have fun with that Cub.

The only white paint was on the radiator guard. This was my wifes dads. One of the boys was going to overhal it and got side tracked. Another one took the block to be gone through and let it sit around long enough the mechanic sold it for scrap... Gene

That Cub Serial Number correspondes to a 1950 Cub and quite possibly a candidate for a Demo. While it falls in the commonly accepted range for Demonstrator Cubs, remember that not all Cubs in this range were actually demonstrators or even have the correct White paint remaining under the red or the rusty patina common to our Cubs.

The 800 you notice is the rated max rpm for that series which is 1800 rpm and you can see that on this early Serail Number Plate

There is all kinds of information on Cubs on the net, the CubFAQ's #1 and CubFAQ's #2 are good sources of pertinent info such as Para 13 - Serial Numbers, the Cub Manual Server hosts more than just manuals, and of course the folks at farmallcub.com have a pretty substantial amount of experience and knowledge on just about all things Cub. Also, Ralph over at Ralph's Cubs should be able to help you out in your quest for a new mill. But first, what is wrong with yours??

Hope this helps a bit
