H carb question

Thought I would be ok rebuilding my h carb but after taking it all apart Im not sure if I have the right kit. A ball fell out during disassembly and now im haveing trouble finding where it goes. Is their extra parts in some kits. I really want to complete this myself but may need a little help, anyone willing? My first tractor, I had hoped to have it ready by spring but thats not likely, Email is [email protected]

Thr ball should be behind the choke butterfly. It goes in a little hole just behind the outside arm. Look at the arm there should be a grove. There is a spring in that hole that pushes it out to make it tight up aginst the arm. Should be about the size of a BB.

Ed is correct on the detent ball for the choke.
Yes to the question on parts. One would hope they would make a carb specific kit, but the kit likely works for several carbs. Use only those parts that exactly match the original. (unless the directions, specific to your carb, instruct you to use a different part instead). JimN
