Carb Float Adjustment

I'm not understanding how to adjust the float on my M . The 1 5/16 adjustment ( float valve closed ) makes sense. I was also given a 1 15/16 measurement for when the float has dropped.Where on the float do I measure to?

Not relevant. Just get the closed measurement right. Wasn't there an instruction sheet in your kit?

The 1 15/16 measurment is just so float does not lay on bottom of bowl when fully open, measure to lowest point of float when float is hanging down, or just forget about it.

I just ordered a basic kit today. I didn't think the instructions for float adjustment would be in that kit? My problem with the carb was flooding however the float doesn't leak. Someone had advised that the float may be dropping down too far and binding . Is there a way to keep the foat from dropping all the way down when the bowl is empty ?Thanks

There is a little tab to control float drop, just take a peek and you will see it limit drop. Bend it as necessary
