I have a rebuilt Marvel Schebler on my C,it runs too lean,if I adjust the main jet..that will give it more fuel ,right?Because the air mix screw isn"t doing it,I have to run it at half choke otherwise it chugs and stalls when you let the clutch out.

On an M/S carb you have an idle mixture screw, the one towards the top of the carb. All that idle screw does is adjust idle nothing more. Then down lower you have the main jet and that is the one you need to adjust to make the carb run leaner or richer. Remember the top screw works back wards in for richer and out for leaner but the main jet works the other way around out for richer in for leaner.

Leaks bad plug wires bad plugs hows the compression are the readings close to each other plugged air cleaner timing anyone of these things or a combination. I just bought a B foun two bad plug wires and those plugs were fouled it has a mag and rotor was off one tooth. Also found out the gear that runs mag is not in registration as #1 fires at the 11 oclock instead of 1 oclock. You just never know what someone has done over the yrs.
