restoring farmall H tractor. New wiring harness 6 volt system. Regulator mounted in front of steering post. Does the juntion block inside dash panel need to be insulated or do you attach it to the metal panel uninsulated with the 3 wires connected together.Tractor is positive ground.Lights do not come on but starter engages.
or will this problem correct itself once tractor is started and generator polerized?

There is only one ground in a IH electrical box and that is the box its self. The Mag kill switch is grounded through the switch body, and (if it has) a four position light switch (used or not) its components for generator control are grounded. All other wires should be not grounded. The lights should work running or not. JimN

This tractor has a distributer and a 3 position light switch does that mater.also is the junction terminal insulated on these it did not have a junction terminal.
