Carb Leaking/Flooding #2

I didn't mention in my original post that I always shut the tractor off by running the gas out of the carb. Since this tractor sits for months at a time I'm wondering if that may have something to do with the flooding at startup?

If I run the gas out of my carbs, they seem to flood more at start-up than if I don't. However, if I don't run the gas out of them (but still shut off the gas), they still seem to often flood if I have let them sit for weeks or months. What I'm saying is, I think the main source of your problem is letting the tractor sit for months at a time. A lessor source may be running the carb dry. In summary, "the more you run 'em, the better they run".
