Farmall H water pump leaking

I had a leak on my water pump so I tightened the packing nut and it stopped. I thought I had the problem fixed. I just ran it today and after I shut it off it leaks bad out the front of the fan. The fan even feels loose (you can wiggle it back and forth). Do I try and tighten it up again or is there something else wrong? If I have to take the water pump off do I have to remove the radiator to do it?

Give it a shot of grease, then tighten the packing nut again. The only time I have ever had one leak is when the packing nut is loose and/or they need a shot of grease. How loose are you talking on the fan? Never really had a bearing go bad, but it is possible.

The fan wiggles back and forth about an 1/8 of inch. It did the same thing before I tightened the packing nut before. After tightening the nut there was no wiggle. I ran the tractor twice and now I have the same thing. Is it possible the nut keeps loosening up?

Is it possible to take the water pump off WITHOUT taking the radiator off? I am afraid by taking the radiator off I will create more problems for myself. (Twisted off radiator bolts, hoses hard to get off, etc.)

Yes, you can remove the water pump without having to remove the radiator, I have done it on my M. You will have to take the fan off the pump and disconnect the radiator brace so that the top of the radiator can be pushed forward a little to give you enough clearance to get the pump out.
