Float Sticking

The float keeps sticking on my M. Gas will pour out the bottom of the carb until I close the fuel valve. My question is--is there anyway to unstick the float without pulling the float bowl just to get the tractor going?
Thanks

Some times you can hit the side of the carb with the handle of a screw driver etc. to get it un stuck. You can also try this and it works some times. Drain the carb by way of the drain plug. Turn it on and try to start it, that clears any gas that was causing it to flood. Then turn it off, turn on the gas valve and count to say 50, turn the gas back off, then try to start it. Most of the time they will start. Then turn the gas back on and you may luck out and it will run fine till you turn it off

You might try tapping on the bowl just in case a pice of dirt is causing the problem but my guess is that the float has a pin hole in it,best to remove and rebuild carb.kits are cheap and your problem will be resolved for good.

Mine kept leaking. Had it apart a couple times before I figured out there was gas in the float. Very little. Just enough that I heard it when shaking it. Drilled a small hole and drained it.
No leak now! Don't even need to turn the gas off.
