I have a 1945 farmall M that I am restoring, while checking the electrical wiring conections I found that the posative battery terminal on the started is grounded. Before I take it apart does anyone have any idea what to look for and what the problem might be. Thanks

Do you mean it is grounded to the frame or has an internal short? If it's grounded to the frame that would be the way it came from the factory as the 6 volt system was positive ground.
