gas tank nasty

have a cub with a very nasty gas tank. any potions to mix to clean?

its been said that you can use 1 part muriatic acid to 3 parts water. but you need to rinse and then use a liquid fuel tankliner real soon. muriatic acid will rust steel real quick. i have heard you can use phosphoric acid and it is easier on the steel.

rterry: I used 2 cans of Carquest carburetor cleaner-sloshed it around and let it soak overnight. Rinsed with another can. Tank came out clean.
