BN oil leak

Does any body have any experience with the oil galley that feeds the rocker shaft leaking between the block and the head? I replaced the head gasket and in doing so could not see any defects in either surface or warping but the leak still occurs.

I'm not sure from your description where you're seeing a leak such that you think that that is the source of it.

Is that oiler stud in and aligned so that the hole is oriented to feed the rocker?

If I remember correctly, and it has been awhile since I rebuilt mine, the instructions with the head gasket recomended a sealer of some type around that oil galley. Maybe double check those instructions. John

The leak is on the right side of the engine between the block and the head (ie; head gasket)right in the middle between the 2nd and 3rd pistons. that's right where the drillend out stud that holds the middle of the rocker shaft gets it's pressureized oil from.

So again, is the oiler stud aligned properly to feed the rockers? Is the rocker assembly clean allowing the oil from the oiler stud to flow as it should? And, as, a final thought, have you run the engine up to temp and then re-torqued your head bolts since you replaced the gasket?

That last one is important.
