3200 series A - I have questions

I pulled an old 3200 series A skid steer out of a blackberry patch and I got it running. But it needs work and I need help.

1) How do I know what year it was made and which model engine is in it?

2) Is there a way to tell which caruburetor it needs without pulling the old one off?

3) Why does it want to slip into gear when I"m starting it but it will stay in neutral once it"s running?

Thanks for your help! Jon

We had a 3300 series B. Good old loader but was getting too tired to keep up with what we needed of it. It seems to me that it wanted to try moving til it fired and built pressure in the hydrostats then they'd go to neutral.

I guess a foundry bought it, they built all their alleyways to fit that size machine, and they couldn't find anything that width with that capacity, so they bought every one they could find and made as many good ones as they could.
