I am done with tractor supply voltage regulators. I have gotten 3 from there and htey are all junk. I bought the last one last summer and the rubber mounts have dry rotted and broken in half. The first two didn"t work correctly after only a few hours use.
I read on here where someone bought and American made VR that was far superior by there experience but did not say where they bought it.
Any one know where to get a good one?
Thanks.

I have had bad luck with the $36 "tractor show" VR's. Probably imported. I have had good luck with $66 VR's from NAPA - made in USA.

If they are not Delco-Remy they are usally junk good for only a couple of months. This is one thing you get what you pay for.

I thought about converting to 12volt alternator but I would like to keep everything original as I can. The tractor belonged to my Grandfather and he bought it new.
I may try thr Napa store as I need some parts for my truck.
Thanks for all the suggestions.
