1964 International Harvester Truck

I found an IH truck for sale with IH 354 motor 4 speed hi&low rearend and a dump bed,are thease perty good truck I am not sure about what to look for when I go to look at it.

I'll almost bet that engine is not a 354 but a 345. AS far as I have even heard they did not make an IH 354 engine but there sure where lots of the 345 made and used in lots of trucks over the years

Rust is the biggest enemy for IH trucks. If well maintained, that truck will outlast a new one.

Make sure it has a double frame. The dump bed should have it's own frame. If not the beds are a little weak. Also check for rusty frame rails on bed. Make sure bed goes up and down and look for leaks in the hyd. Pumps and cylinders can be pricey.
