i want to put a waterpump on my older c, it says in my manual i need a bracket? anyone familiar with this, where i"d get one if needed. thanks, kevin

It is possible. You will need all the parts from a SC (with pump) or other later 113 or 123CID with the pump. The outlet is located differently, the fan and brackets are different, and a few other issues will rear their heads. It will need a thermostat, and the cooling water distribution will not be perfect due to the larger size of passages in the older engine. The thermno siphon system is actually fine and very over capacity. If the radiator is good and clean, and the block is not filled with sludge and scale, it will cool fine. JimN

The bracket is the one for the generator that has the slot. You can make the original work. Its just a bolt and unbolt thing dont worry about a thermostat not needed lots of the old As and Bs have the C pump installed. Just be sure your pump comes with a pulley as you dont have one to install.

thanks gene, i have a broken one i took off my 200, think i'lll see tomorrow if it fits, if it does i'll order one from here. seems the $ is cheaper that my dealer.. it may be that the radiator has stuff in it although i flushed it several times, also since i had the tractor broken apart and replaced the welsh plug i cleaned a bunch of sludge out of there. thanks guys! kevin
