J and B weld

Wondering if it can be used to attach a patch I made (metal) to cover a small hole in the exhaust manifold on a 200.

Drill out the hole to a smallest usable pipe fitting size tap drill. Tap the hole and put in a plug mark th plug to depth then remove and grind off the part that will stick into the manifold. JimN

I know that JB weld will wirk on a lot of thins but there is a similiar product used in the boating industry called Marine-Tex that will work on blocks inside and out, manifolds, and seal gas tanks etc. There is another product used here abouts that is even better. Can't remember the name but costs like the devil. Maybe if Lowell is watching he can let you know. Will try to find out and let you know. Marine Tex can be found at westmarine.com. or boatus .com Henry

JB and marine tex will work on intake side but it won't last long on the exhaust side. I haven't seen many intakes get rust holes, so I am pretty sure you were talking exhaust. No good fix there outside of replacement.

I like the pipe plug idea! I have done that in some other applications, but never thought about a cast manifold.

Best epoxy I've used is Devcon. It is only good to 350...and to empty your wallet.

Thank you, I'll be here all week.
