Hi Guys,
I am working on an wide front end that has 2 nuts and lock washers that appear to be 1 3/8" fine thread. These attach the Rod stay from the frame to the front of the axle. This is what I believe is the original IH front end with the tie rods out front. It was on a 52H and is about to be on a 53 SH. According to my TC-49 McCormick parts catalog the part # is 109 867 Nut,Hex.,1-3/8-12NF & 118 028 washer,Lock,light,1-3/8". I have been to Napa, Fastenal, IH dealer with no luck. Anybody have a source for these parts?
Fastenal guy suggested using an 1 1/4" die and recut the threads or use a 1 3/8" tap and recut an 1 1/4" nut. Any suggestions?

Any decent machine shop could make them for you. I suppose I could do it. What is the dimension across the flats? How thick are they? Where are you?

I would suggest McMaster Carr part # 95462A563 which is a 1-3/8 x 12tpi hex nut at $3.33 each as the simplest solution.

Also available is # 9049A141 which is 25/32" thick (IOW thinner than above if that's what you need).

This was a great tip. Parts arrived today. Exactly the right parts. Thanks to all who responded.
