Just wondering if a wide front end off a 504 international utility wood work on a 504 farmall

No. The axles are very much different.

No, not easily. If you wanted to build some sort of custom mount to take up the difference in height and a custom steering shaft it could work. Be cheaper to buy a Schwartz WFE (about $1100 shipped). I was going to buy one this month but instead bought the materials to build a 24x36 equipment shed.
