Farmall C problem

This morning my C with the 113 motor started perfectly and ran very well for 10 minutes. Then it quit. I statrted it again, and it ran pefectly for about 10 seconds and quit. I could not restart it. It turns over very well but will not catch. I checked the gas flow at the brand new carburator and got full flow. I opened the distributor and replaced the coil. The points and rotor button looked good. All suggestions are more than welcome. Thanks in advance.

I'd have said coil but you've seen to that. Could also be the condenser.

If you've got spark, I'd look at restricted fuel. Check the strainer in your sediment bowl first, then the screen in the inlet elbow to the carb. If enough crud got past those, you may need to blow out the carb.

For that matter, how much gas is in it? You'll run out of fuel before the tank is wmpty.

Pull a plug wire off ASAP when it quits running and check for fire while someone makes an attempt to start the engine. Hold the plug wire about 1/4" away from the plug. If there's very weak or no fire replace the condenser since it's cheaper and if that doesn't help its probably the coil. Hal

When you have gas flow at the carb have you pulled the screen out of the carb itself? There is a screen in the settling bowl and a second one in the fitting on the carb where the gas line connects. I had problems with the vent holes in the gas cap being plug. Put a new cap on it fixed my "starving" problem.

Check the fuel line. If someone has placed a rubber hose to replace the steel line, it must be cut so that there are no low points. If there is a low point where the line gets below the carburetor, you could get an air bubble that will cause the engine to stop. This FYI.
