farmall super a question

i have a super a with full cultivators and side dresser my question is the other unit on it, it looks like you could put another side dresser hopper on it but only has 2 ears on it, was this some kind of planter, it has all the chains to it and turns like it should, dont know much about this tractors so i thought id ask here. also this tractor has no pto on it is this common? thanks in advance

Pto was a delete option. Pictures of the other would be nice your description is a little vague.

Your extra platform is probably for a planter attachment. There was an option for a second fertilizer hopper so you could side dress both sides of the row, but I think that setup was on the lefthand side. Not sure about that.

Yes, the rear unit was for the planter hopper. You would need the hopper and drill unit to plant with it. I have seen them but one row planters were rare, even in the south. Larry
