Pump Capacity ? Pressure?

Clean John?

Hello Fellows And Gals. Been off for a spell.
Need some answers On a pto pump on the 350 Farmall. The system hydraulics seem to be slow
handling the front loader and power steering.
I have a new pto pump and extra controls so
am thinking about using them instead. Whats the GPM rating and at what pressure am I looking at with this pump. Any help??? Thanks as always
See I need my password which I dont remember!!! Used to Be greasy John . Now Clean John !!

The 460U that I have has a 17gpm pump for the loader option. 12gpm is standard.

However...not sure what the relief pressure is (?) but I would guess 2000 psi to be sufficient however.

It might be a good idea to look at your priority valve (if present) and also at the filter(s) for the hydraulic pump as well.

The relief pressure on the 06 series up through the 86? series is 1600 psi. The filters will burn ya everytime. Replace the filters and check the pressure, it still lacking the relief or a check valve may be by-passing.

Guys, he is asking about a 350. Not a 460 or 06 series.

The 350 has approx a 10 GPM pump and operating pressure between 12 and 1500 PSI.

The power steering sucks off 2.5 gpm's to operate it before letting the rest of the oil go to other hydraulics. PS takes priority. You will see better results by using your PTO pump for the loader.

Thank you all,I think Georgeky answered my ? best. George , I noticed the somewhat jerky responce in the steering as soon as I installed the loader.Have abt 5ft of 6" box tube will built a tank and use it as a control mt on the right side" closer to the pto lever" dont like the orginal lever positions aniway. Will give me abt 5 gallons plus pump cap. Again Thanks to all .
