I have an 350 farmall with a 3 point conversion/ tongs being used on it. I am attempting to use a danuser post hole digger on it but it doesn't raise high enough,is this a common problem with the fast hitches or maybe the tongs arent long enough? Or do I need to use a different length cylinder on the lift ?

That is a common problem with the 2pt to 3 pt conversion. Some of the tongs have an upward bend that allow you to lift implements a little bit higher. My experience with the converters is that they work marginal at best. The single piece converter that has prongs attached to a U-shaped frame that connects to the 3 points of the implement seem to work the best, but are expensive, if you are even able to find one. Don't believe they are made anymore. I don't know what option you have other than to modify prongs or the digger.
