Hi,

Can anyone tell me where I can find C-199 plows for my Farmall C and Farmall Super C Tractors? Thanks! Any help much appreciated.

Bob

They show up once in a while on ebay.

What would be wrong with a C-294 or C-295 2 bottom plow? More of those out there and they do a wonderful job.

Hi George,

I understand it is a good set-up, and you can use a 16" plow. It would be hard to use (2) 16" plows in ground that hasn't been turned over in (20) years with my Farmall C/Super C as I believe the rating is (2) 14" plows? Though (2) 14" plows would be great also if it was the NO. 39 "roll-over".

"OK" What or where can I purchase a C-294/C-295 Plows? Are they a pull behind and are they a roll-over? Thank you, any help is much appreciated.

Bob

Farmall Bob, The 294 and 295 are mounted plows. Most are 2 X 12 inch bottoms. C or SC will pull them anywhere just fine I have plowed hundreds of acres with one. They mount to the belly and rear axle housings of the tractor. Then there is a rod on one side that goes to the hydraulic arm to raise and lower plow and another on the opposite side that controls the draft of the plow. It is a very good design. Can control everything with the touch control levers. I will try to find a pic of a set.

Not sure where you can find a set. Lots of them have been cut up. KY, TN and other tobacco states are a good place to look.

Not as hard to mount on the tractor as the C-199. I don't have a picture on my C-294 on hand but will try to get one within a few days.

Hi George,

Sounds great! If they are easier to set-up all the better. My friend will be some surprised to see a better hook-up than his C-199. Is this counting your chicken before they hatch? And yes if you could send a picture of yours would be nice. You guys sure are given me an education. Who said you couldn't teach an old dog new tricks? It just keeps getting gooder and gooder! Thanks!

Bob

Here is a C-294 I found in the photo section.

Hi Wanabefarmer,

My problem is I don't have anything other than 150 years of International Harvester book to go by. It is mostly antique equipment. I need to find a catalog that has newer equipment I can retrofit to my old Farmalls. I am working off a shoe string to see if it is possible to grow 1-2 acres of vegetables, and 1-2 acres of cover crops. I have to travel in my business not home some of the time at weeks on end. Need to try and make life a little easier so need impements to get there. Thanks!

Bob
