Farmall 806 Oil Pump relief valve

I am doing a out of frame overhaul on a Farmall 806 with the serial number 6090. My problem is that i want to install the oil jet tubes to spray oil at the bottom of my pistons. I have the holes and ordered the parts but my problem is that they call in the book for you to replace the oil pump relief valve with a different one to accommodate for the extra amount of oil being used. Do I have to change it out or no? Case ih doesn't offer to sell the part any more and i'm not sure of were i can get it. Any help would be great thank you.

Try Harvey Gross. New Lothrop MI 810 638 5569 Or J.P.Tractor salvage Fredricktown MO 573 783 7055 Either one might have one or can tell you
where you might find one. You might also try Bates Corp. They are in IN Bourbon I think.

Is there a difference between a 806 oil pump and a 1206 oil pump? I want to install all 12 jet tubes in the block but want to make sure the oil pump can handle the extra work load. I have been told there is a difference in the gears. But i also have been told there isnt. I looked in the IT manual and shop service manual for specs and all i got was that they both run a relief pressure valve at 90 psi. If that is the case why would i have to replace the valve?

Don't know that you would. The cooling tubes are for the extra heat you get from turbocharging the engine. Since that is the case I would
not worry about them or the oil pump unless you are going to add a turbo to it. If there is a difference in the pumps it would be more volume
for the additional oil requirement for the cooling tubes.
CaseIH.com would be where I would look for info on the oil pump differences.

I dont know if there is a difference either, but Volume and pressure are two different things ! Kristen Gall would know he restored his grandpa's 1206 and a few others, or the tractor vet.

Well depending on your engine S/$ as the old and new are a little different . And the oil pumps between them are a little different and then ya come to the 1206 , Here the oil pump is bigger so it has more volume . As long as you do not get carried awaywith going completely NUTS on horse power the signal piston coolers will do just fine . Your tryen to rethink the wheel . If ya want a 1206 then buy a 1206 . just keep in ind here some parts are no longer avib. Ya want 200 plus H/P then go with a 466 .
