I recently bought 2 new master pins from Cat for my 4U. the new ones are one straight diameter without the tapered plugs on the ends. They were about $11 each. |

I guess they expect you to weld them in place?
Cat supplied the plugs and the corks a standard bushing, which is unsuitable-too long, two collars and the pin with no provision for the plugs.
When I emailed them for information and advice their response was to flick the question back to their agent who supplied the parts, what a waste of my time and the agents. |

| The new pins are a tight fit so you just pound them in. Yes--they still have the plugs and corks for the old style pins but don't have the old pins. Just like you i have new plugs and corks but had to destroy the old pins to get them out |
