Getting parts here in the US isn't easy. I may have to order from the UK. That's why I was asking about a bolt in replacement. If I'm going to keep it I would like to have a local parts source. AJ. 09-07-2012 12:32:38 92.4.144.148 Report to Moderator	Re: JCB engine in reply to oldtanker, 09-06-2012 11:15:08   I'm in the UK and there are plenty of spares for those engines, those were great engines good starters and reliable, they have wet liners so an in frame overhaul is not a problem as long as your crank is OK, what is wrong with yours, the engine that replaced that after JCB could not rely on a supply from Leyland due to strikes etc was the Perkins 4.236 but it was never used in a manual drive machine so I am not sure if it would marry up to the bell housing of the 3C,maybe a call to your local engine reconditioner may help out with an overhaul kit,it's a Leyland 4/98 3.8Lt.
