Depends on age and condition. If it has the old mechanical blade lift, check it out throughly.I bought a Galion 112 years ago from the highway dept. for $900. Spent $50 for generator repair and everything else worked fine. Totally hydraulic grader with UD14 engine. It was great for lifting rocks out of the ground; brother staked the rocks when he plowed. I set the blade at an angle, forced the blade corner down next to the rock and put some forward pressure on it at the same time I raised the blade. The rock rolled right up on top so we could load it on a stone boat and haul it away. The only hole was where the rock was in the ground. We did all of our ditching with it and I sold it for $2000 after using it for 4 months. The last I saw the state had set $2000 as a minumum bid for graders. |
