DEJA VU.What we found was an J.D.420 complete and a split 440 with out the engine, cowling, radiator (front end).Don't have the serial numbers list that tells the age of the 420 with serial # 117535. Thought the unit was solid and hoses wrapped to protect em. Looks like ,even though it's been sitting out in the open, some provision was used to preserve the lines. Don't know if it's for sale and if the engine is free, but would certainly make a project for the SIL.The Son In Law isn't quite capable of patient dismantling fixing /replacing parts etc. Any way thought if I had more time, We just might take on this project without the 100o temp.Would loose money but we've done that before. Still looking for one with a blade thats reasonable. Your advice on a J.D (complete) 440 Gas.Different location, different machiene. Thanks for any comments you would give. Regards LOU. |
